About Southern Accents Jewelry

Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I am the creator of Southern Accents Jewelry!

I currently live with my husband in Atlanta, Georgia, and we both live such busy, hectic lives.  As a result, a while back I started to search for something to focus on outside of "Corporate America".  I wanted to find something I enjoy doing and that wasn't really a "job", so to speak.

I finally took a jewelry-making class one day just to check it out.  I loved it!  So I took more and more classes, but I am mainly self-taught.  However, I plan to get involved in taking more instruction in the very near future.

SouthernAccentsJewelry.com is a website that I created and maintain.  It displays my pieces that are available and also pieces I have sold or have given as gifts.  I accept opportunities to work on custom projects as well, which is always a great experience!  I receive domestic orders as well as international and have gotten to know many great people, especially fellow artisans!

My jewelry consists of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and rings.  I try my best to keep each piece as unique and as "one-of-a-kind" as possible.  I work with all kinds of beads and stones and it's always fun going on the "hunt" for that special item needed to complete a piece.  I travel frequently and always try to bring back very unique items to use in my jewelry-making.  My last trip to Turkey and Greece provided some great pendants!

Most of my work is done with sterling silver, jewelry wire, chain, waxed silk, leather cord or stretch cord.  All silver and earring wire used in my pieces are .925 sterling, never plated.

The Inman Park Festival was a lot of fun, despite the terrible weather!  Thanks to all of you who stopped by the booth!  I know it was very difficult to find us in the midst of all the chaos.  Very much appreciated!  Here are a few pictures while the sun was still shining.
